Install Panel in 2 minutes

Panel runs on macOS and Windows. Pick your system, follow the steps in order, and you will be running in about two minutes.

Steps for macOS

  1. Install

    Open the downloaded file and drag Panel into your Applications folder.

  2. Fix the “damaged” warning

    macOS will say “Panel is damaged and can't be opened.” It isn't damaged. This is how macOS treats apps that aren't signed yet.

    Seeing this? Totally expected. Keep going.

    Open Terminal and run this once:

    Terminalxattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Panel.app

    Right click → Open does not work for this case on current macOS.

  3. Grant permission

    On first launch, macOS asks for Screen & System Audio Recording. This is how the app hears your interviewer. Enable Panel in that exact section of System Settings, then relaunch.

    Turn on Panel here, then reopen the app.

Installing on Windows instead?

First run

  1. Sign in with Google, or with email and a one time code

  2. Click New session, add the company and role, then start

  3. The overlay appears over your call

Troubleshooting

The Terminal command says no such file.

Make sure Panel is inside your Applications folder first

The app can’t hear the interviewer.

Check Screen & System Audio Recording is on for Panel, then fully quit and reopen
